A welterweight bout has been added to the upcoming UFC on Fuel 2 card in Sweden with Papy Abedi facing James Head.

Sources close to the match-up confirmed the bout to MMAWeekly.com on Wednesday. MMAFighting.com first reported the fight.

While he was not born in Sweden, Papy Abedi has called the country his home for several years so he’s a natural fit for the UFC’s first trip to the country.

Abedi made his debut at UFC 138 last year, but lost by submission to top ten welterweight Thiago Alves. Now the Swedish based fighter will look to erase that memory while fighting in front of his adopted home country fans.

Moving down to 170lbs, fellow second time UFC fighter James Head will try to find success at welterweight after a tough loss in his first fight in the Octagon while still a middleweight fighter.

Head lost to former ‘Ultimate Fighter’ competitor Nick Ring in his debut, but will see if welterweight fits him better as he returns in April to face Abedi in Sweden.
