ONE: Warrior’s Quest is set for the Singapore Indoor Stadium on May 22. It is already shaping up to be one of the best cards that the promotion has ever put together with three match-ups announced so far.
The latest fight to be added to the card is a featherweight bout between Timofey Nastyukhin and Rob Lisita, two fighters who have had contrasting fortunes of late. The Russian is coming off a highlight reel knockout of Eduard Folayang, while the Australian is looking to snap a two-fight losing streak.
Nastyukhin (8-1) is riding an eight-fight winning streak and hasn’t lost a fight in five years, but it was still a huge shock when he knocked out Filipino favorite Folayang with a flying knee followed by a couple of soccer kicks in Manila last year.
The Russian is dropping down to 145 pounds to take on Lisita (15-7). Lisita got his ONE Championship career off to a perfect start with a knockout of former Legend FC champion Yusuke Kawanago, but was subsequently submitted by Eric Kelly and knocked out by Marat Gafurov.
ONE: Warrior’s Quest will be headlined by a title bout between two Japanese lightweights, as Shinya Aoki defends his belt against Koji Ando, while two of the top contenders in the division go head-to-head on the same night with Lowen Tynanes taking on Kuat Khamitov.
