One FC-New Logo Circa 2014After back-to-back events in brand new territories, ONE FC will be returning to a traditional stronghold for an Oct. 17 card, which is set for Stadium Putra in Kuala Lumpur. It will be the organization’s fifth event to take place in Malaysia.

Only Singapore, where the promotion is headquartered, has played host to more events. ONE FC will once again be partnering up with Tune Talk, the Malaysian mobile phone operator, which has invested heavily in the country’s MMA scene.

Tune Talk is holding the second series of its Malaysian Invasion MMA (MIMMA) amateur competition with the semifinals taking place this weekend and the Finale scheduled for Stadium Putra on Oct. 25, a week after ONE FC: Roar of Tigers.

Adam Kayoom, who was scheduled to fight for the ONE FC welterweight title before being sidelined with a serious rib injury, might be ready to return by Oct. 17, while Malaysian fighters like Peter Davis, Nik Harris, and Gianni Subba could also feature.

There’s also a strong possibility Malaysian-born featherweight Ev Ting will get to fight in his homeland for the first time. He is based in New Zealand, but looked very impressive when he made his ONE FC debut in Jakarta earlier this year.

It’s not completely official event after rise of the kingdom on 12th September but it doesn’t matter. They should increase to 3 events per year in their stronghold of Philippine, Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia. Each event should be spread out to at least 3 months. Anyway, the people are now increasing in attendance everytime they return because it’s entertaining, and that’s what counts most.
