One-FC-New-Logo-Circa-2014-750x370ONE FC plans to put on 10 events in China over the course of the next two years and its first stop will be Beijing on Oct. 31 with the date being confirmed for the first time on Friday by the promotion’s official twitter account.

ONE FC: Dynasty of Champions will be the organization’s first ever event in mainland China and represents the eighth different country that Victor Cui’s rapidly expanding franchise has visited in the space of just six months in 2014.

The event will take place at the 7,000-capacity Olympic Sports Centre Gymnasium and will feature two four-man tournaments, one at 125 pounds and one at 145 pound, with the semifinals and finals both taking place on the same night.

The tournaments will follow the same format as the recent one in Cambodia. They will only be open to local fighters and are set to become a feature of all ONE FC events in China with a view to crowning a national champion in each weight class.

One fighter who won’t be participating in the tournaments, but is likely to be on the card is former Legend FC 135-pound champion Xian Ji, who is still awaiting a promotional debut after his failure to make weight led to the cancellation of a bout with Thanh Vu earlier this year.

According to Cui, a “huge” TV deal in China is set to be announced in the coming days.

Oh Yes. Finally, it’s official. They will dominate the Chinese market for many years to come. There will be many new Chinese fighters coming on board as and when they are ready. They’re doing the right thing by giving local fighters a chance and allowing them to enhance their skills. There is no doubt, the Chinese fans will embrace One FC as others already have; simply One FC is the most exciting mma show. Can’t wait to see who is going to be on this card, a balance of local and international as it has been. Once a big local Chinese TV deal is done, fighters will get so much exposure and sponsors. Good for everyone. It is currently shown on Star Sports in China via paid satellite.
