ONE Fighting Championship on Friday announced the appointment of MMA legend Matt Hume as Vice President of Operations and Competition. Hume’s primary responsibilities include matchmaking and talent recruitment, managing standards in rules and regulations, and guardian of ONE FC’s first-class show experience. Prior to joining ONE FC, Matt Hume served as a world-class trainer, promoter, sanctioning body president, referee, event judge, rule director, matchmaker, television commentator and author. Hume earned respect in and outside of the cage for his MMA skills as a fighter as well as his understanding of the MMA business.

ONE FC’s next event will be on Aug. 31 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City, Philippines. The event features two of the top bantamweight fighters in the sport today Bibiano Fernandes vs. Gustavo Falciroli, as well as a host of other world champions including three members of the Gracie family, Andrei Arlovski, Jens Pulver, and Filipino champions Eduard Folayang and Eric Kelly.
