ONE Championship announced the dates for six upcoming events, which will take place in six different cities this year. Asia’s biggest MMA promotion now has shows booked in Shanghai, Jakarta, Kuala Lumpur, Macau, Singapore, and Manila for 2015.
The announcement came two days before ONE: Kingdom of Warriors, which is set for the Thuwunna Stadium in Yangon this Saturday. It sees the organization move to two new cities with the Sept. 1 card in Shanghai and a Nov. 7 event in Macau.
In addition, ONE championship will be returning to Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, and the Philippines.
CEO Victor Cui is excited to see the organization ramp up its schedule, “Early in 2015, we knew that this year would be another amazing year with exciting growth for ONE Championship as we continue to expand at an incredibly rapid pace, bringing our signature brand of world-class MMA action into more cities in Asia. ONE has achieved a historic milestone by becoming the first major mixed martial arts organization to hold multiple events in mainland China and we will also return to our favourite cities in Asia — Jakarta, Kuala Lumpur, Singapore and Manila — with even greater shows and blockbuster fight cards that will ignite stadiums and get fans screaming for more.”
