ONE Championship on Friday announced the next three installments of the ONE FC: Dynasty of Champions series, which debuted in Beijing last December. The events will be taking place in X’ian on May 2, Guangzhou on May 30, and Shenyang on June 12.
In total, ONE Championship plans to put on events in ten cities across mainland China. The promotion’s CEO, Victor Cui, was quoted in a press release as saying, “ONE Championship continues its upward trajectory towards becoming the number one sports organization in the world with a series of groundbreaking events in China. ONE Championship continues to be a trailblazer by bringing world-class mixed martial arts action across mainland China while breaking both live and television viewership records. Fans all over the world can prepare to be thrilled with adrenaline pumping action featuring the best mixed martial artists from around the world.”
ONE Championship’s first event in China was headlined by a bantamweight bout between Xian Ji and Ya Sadong and featured two four man tournaments with future cards in the country likely to follow a similar format.
Next up for Asia’s biggest MMA promotion is ONE FC: Age of Champions, which is set for Stadium Putra in Kuala Lumpur on March 13. It will be headlined by a flyweight title bout between reigning champion Adriano Moraes and challenger Asuka Mikami.
After that ONE Championship is heading to Manila for ONE FC: Valor of Champions, which is taking place at the SM Mall of Asia Arena on April 27 and sees Ben Askren defend his welterweight belt against Luis Santos in the main event.
Then, nestled between the “Dynasty of Champions” cards in X’ian and Guangzhou, is ONE FC: Warrior’s Quest, which is taking place at the Singapore Indoor Stadium on May 22, but does not have a main event yet.
