Two strikers will meet up at UFC 145 in Montreal as Canadian John Makdessi meets former WEC standout Anthony Njokuani.
UFC officials announced the new fight on Wednesday.
Both Njokuani and Makdessi are coming off of losses in December, but look for redemption in March.
Anthony Njokuani has started off his UFC career going back and forth between wins and losses, but hopes to improve upon that in March. The former WEC fighter lost two razor close decisions to Edson Barboza and Danny Castillo, and looks to cement his place in the division when he returns at UFC 145.
John Makdessi will try to rebound as well at UFC 145 after suffering the first loss of his UFC career in December to Dennis Hallman at UFC 140.
The Canadian looked outstanding last April with his spinning backfist knockout of former ‘Ultimate Fighter’ competitor Kyle Watson, and he’ll try to duplicate that in March against Njokuani.
The bout between Njokuani and Makdessi is the latest addition to the growing UFC 145 card in Montreal set to go down March 24.
