A late addition is now planned for the UFC Fight Night card in Seattle with Nik Lentz poised to take on Waylon Lowe in a lightweight bout on the show.
The extra match would bring the fight card to 12 bouts in all, which is unusual, but not unheard of for the UFC to do. They are planning a 12 bout fight card for the Australian show at UFC 127 as well.
Sources close to the match-up confirmed the bout to MMAWeekly.com on Thursday. MMADieHards.com was the first to confirm the rumored fight.
Lentz (20-3-2) enters the March fight undefeated in the UFC, albeit coming off a very controversial win over Tyson Griffin in his last bout in November 2010. Nevertheless, Lentz looks to stay unbeaten in the Octagon when he returns in Seattle.
Now training with American Top Team in Florida, Waylon Lowe (10-3) bounced back strong in his last two fights in the UFC after suffering a defeat to Melvin Guillard in his Octagon debut.
With wins over Steve Lopez and Willamy Freire in his last two fights, Lowe will look to make it three in a row in March.
The bout between Lowe and Lentz completes the 12-bout fight card, and their fight will be featured on the untelevised preliminary portion of the show.
