A featherweight showdown has been added to January’s UFC card in Brazil as Nik Lentz faces Diego Nunes.
Following his first nine fights in the UFC at lightweight, Nik Lentz decided to make the move to featherweight in his last bout, and the results showed right away. Lentz dismantled Eiji Mitsuoka at UFC 150, winning by TKO in the first round.
Now Lentz will face a very tough test in his second bout at 145lbs taking on perennial contender Diego Nunes.
Nunes has alternated wins and losses over his last five fights, but looked great in his last trip to the Octagon where he defeated Bart Palaszewski at UFC on FX 5.
Nunes will fight at home this time around as he faces Nik Lentz in the UFC’s return to Brazil scheduled for Jan 19.
