“Ultimate Fighter” alum and undefeated prospect Nick Ring will return to action in his native Canada at UFC 131: Lesnar vs. dos Santos to face newcomer James Head in Vancouver.
The UFC announced the bout on Monday.
Ring (11-0) made his official UFC debut back in February after a knee injury forced him from finishing his time during the 11th season of “The Ultimate Fighter.”
Ending in a somewhat controversial decision, Ring got the best of Riki Fukuda by decision, and now tries to keep his perfect record intact in June.
Facing Ring will be UFC rookie James Head (7-1), who gets his shot in the Octagon on the heels of his unanimous decision victory over former UFC fighter Gerald Harris in February.
Head brings a solid record with him, and expects to move his two-fight winning streak to three when he faces Ring in June.
The bout between Ring and Head will occupy a slot on the undercard for the show taking place in Vancouver.
