Nick Diaz Not Happy with Performance (UFC 137 video)

Nick Diaz bloodied B.J. Penn’s face like no other fighter before him at UFC 137 on Saturday night in Las Vegas. His domination was enough to earn Diaz a unanimous decision, but still, something was lacking for the controversial fighter from Stockton, Calif.

“My timing was really off. I didn’t get the right type of sparring that I was needing. I didn’t spend enough time working with my trainer, the way that I should have,” said Diaz, amongst many other criticisms of himself, his circumstances surrounding the fight, and a laundry list of many other issues.

Not great in front of the camera, but who cares, he is a monster in the cage. If you don’t like Nick Diaz style of fighting, you are not a true MMA fan!

RonnieV: LMFAO are you kidding? Dude he couldnt finish a GASSED OUT BJ Penn with 10 mins left & while BJ was playing defence after the 1st round. Diaz landed over 100+ strikes & he still couoldn’t knock BJ down, let alone finish a dead tired Penn. If Diaz thinks GSP is going to gas in any round & stand there like a punching bag (like BJ did), he’s in for a long night SuperBowl weekend. Diaz better be un-impressed with his shity performance b/c he better be 100X better when he fights GSP or he’s going to end up like the last 2 guys who talked alot of shit about GSP & pissed him off, those 2 fighters were… Serra 2 & Penn 2 – OUCH! I think Diaz just brought back/woke up the old GSP we’ve been wanting to see for a long time now, thanks Diaz. Have fun SuperBowl weekend – I know I many GSP fans will.

  How did GSP do against Diaz’s lesser training partner Shields, he won by decison, and his face was busted up almost as bad as Penn’s. Penn gassed because he tried to throw with Diaz, GSP will not be able to throw with Diaz, in fact he’ll be Diaz new punching bag. Did you not hear Rogan say that Penn has never been knocked down by a punch, dudes got heart. Your comment is weak, just like Adidas.

I have always said that neither Diaz should do interviews of any type!

Both of them are elite fighters.

Did that guy call shields diazs lesser training partner? Lesser in what way? Standing? I’ll give you that one. Shields is well behind Diaz in striking, but Diaz is aways away from shields on the ground. It’s not like Gsp is going to try and force a standup fight with Diaz.

I like watching Nick Diaz fight because he brings it. He’s a long winded dolt with nothing to say when he’s got a microphone in his face though. GSP takes him down whenever he wants and is going to come into this fight highly motivated which means a long sad night for Diaz.
