UFC newcomer Jake Hecht will get the call to step in on short notice to face American Top Team fighter Rich Attonito at UFC 140 in December.
Originally, Attonito was set to face Canadian Claude Patrick on the card, but an injury to fellow Canadian Rory MacDonald bumped Patrick into a fight with Brian Ebersole instead.
Attonito will now face newcomer Jake Hecht, who enters the UFC on a three fight win streak.
Hecht trains under Marc Fiore, former head coach of UFC hall of famer Matt Hughes, and comes to the UFC with a 10-2 record overall.
He’ll have no easy test when he gets his UFC debut however facing a very tough welterweight in former ‘Ultimate Fighter’ cast member Rich Attonito.
Attonito dropped to welterweight after a stint at middleweight, and promptly thumped Cesar Gracie fighter Daniel Roberts in his 170lb debut.
The fight between Attonito and Hecht will remain on the undercard for UFC 140, which takes place in Toronto on Dec 10.
