All 20 fighters on the recent UFC 111: St-Pierre vs. Hardy fight card in Newark, N.J., were tested for drugs of abuse and performance enhancing substances, according to the New Jersey Athletic Control Board. All 20 fighters returned negative results via a urine screening.
The main card at UFC 111 featured Georges St-Pierre defending his welterweight title from Dan Hardy, and Shane Carwin defeating Frank Mir to capture the UFC interim heavyweight championship.
NJACB representative Nick Lembo said “random blood testing (was) conducted for some contestants prior to the night of the event,” and that the fighters that were blood tested all passed as well.
The NJACB does not reveal how many fighters were chosen for random blood tests.
