Nate Marquardt and Rashad Evans, both of Jackson’s Fight Team, were training in Denver, Colorado recently for their respective fights on Spike TV tonight. MMAWeekly takes you In The Cage with each of them.
Marquardt steps into the Octagon at tonight’s UFC Fight Night in Hollywood, Fla. to face grappling wizard turned MMA fighter Dean Lister. Marquardt and Lister have face each other before. Under Abu Dhabi submission rules, Lister submitted Marquardt; however, this isn’t submission grappling, it’s mixed martial arts. In the interview, Marquardt talks about how training with Jackson’s Fight Team for the past 3 years has changed his game, the Abu Dhabi loss to Lister, his projections on tonight’s fight and more.
Evans hits the cage in Florida tonight as one half of the main event. He faces the lesser know Sean Salmon. Evans isn’t taking him lightly. He says that he is preparing for Salmon as if he were the greatest fighter in the world. In his interview, Evans breaks down the fight with Salmon, talks about his training, his standing in the UFC light heavyweight division, and whether he’s ready for a title shot.
