Why are Asians the worst mma fighters? People always like to bring up that they dominate Pride, but pride isn’t as complex as UFC if you get knocked down in pride it’s over. Anyways It seems that Asians suck at mma. The only fighter with Asian heritage that is any good is Lyoto Machida.

I never heard anyone make that claim and there were more non Asian superstars in pride. You had Sakuraba, Aoki, and Gomi with a few other lesser guys in my opinion for Asian guys. Then you had Fedor, Hendo, Barnett, Rampage, Shogun, Wanderlei, Nog, Mirko, Mousasi, Coleman, and some others that are probably right up there. Also this thing you are talking about where guys get knocked down in Pride and “it’s over” is absurd, you must not have watched a lot of pride. Also plenty of good Asian fighters out there. Machida, Korean Zombie, Cung Le, BJ, Okami, Mizugaki, Akiyama in his day, and the fairly new to the UFC Hyun Gyu Lim who looks very promising.

It seems like you are trying to start an argument with yourself by throwing out a blanket generalized statement about Asians dominating Pride (which I don’t think I’ve ever heard that until you said it) and then following up with disagreeing with that statement. While they certainly did not dominate pride, they had a few big stars in the bunch. If you think Pride had some kind of leniency with TKO stoppages or whatever you were trying to point out, you probably did not watch enough or understand what you were watching. Lastly, if you think Machida is the only good Asian fighter then you are retarded. Looking at the top guys in the UFC right now, no single country or ethnicity is dominating. As the sport grows and branches out from the originating regions, we will see even more racially diverse talent.

I agree with everything you said, and I think Danny was referring to the knees/kicks to opponents in the 4-pt. position, basically saying if you fell down, you were susceptible to these types of attacks.

Oh Danny. get over it. your girlfriend left you for an Asian guy.
