MMAWeekly Radio returns on Tuesday featuring interviews with former Strikeforce champion Muhammed ‘King Mo’ Lawal and BAMMA 7 headliner Frank Trigg.
Lawal is getting ready for his showdown against Roger Gracie this weekend in Strikeforce, but if he’s victorious he’s not sure if he wants a title shot.
See for Lawal to want to fight for the Strikeforce light heavyweight belt it has to mean something, and if that fight isn’t against the current champion Dan Henderson, it doesn’t mean a thing.
“I’ll put it like this if it’s vacated I don’t want it then, (expletive) it,” Lawal said about the Strikeforce light heavyweight title. “If it’s vacated, what’s the point of fighting for a vacated title?”
Also on the show, Frank Trigg stops by to give his thoughts on fight at BAMMA 7 this weekend against Jim Wallhead, and whether he believes BAMMA champion Tom ‘Kong’ Watson had any desire to face him in the first place.
