MMA Rankings - Alexander GustafssonThe updated World MMA Rankings were released on Wednesday, April 18. This system ranks the Top 10 MMA fighters from across the world in each of the seven most widely accepted men’s weight classes and the Top 10 pound-for-pound women fighters.

Taken into consideration are a fighter’s performance in addition to win-loss record, head-to-head and common opponents, difficulty of opponents, and numerous other factors in what is the most comprehensive rankings system in the sport.

Fighters who are currently serving drug-related suspensions are not eligible for Top 10 consideration until they have fought one time after the completion of their suspension.

Fighters must also have competed within the past 12 months in order to be eligible for Top 10 consideration unless they have a bout scheduled within a reasonable time frame.

Alistair Overeem ? please take him out of the top 10 HW test + for drugs.

  • DrkDisciple

Welterweight No Nick Diaz? What i going on?????????????????????????

  • wims80

You guys should read the article text. It clearly says

“Fighters who are currently serving drug-related suspensions are not eligible for Top 10 consideration until they have fought one time after the completion of their suspension.”

Nick Diaz have been suspended. Overeem have not

    • Lesnardo

      “has been” suspended.

  • Darren2112

When was GSP’s last fight? He might removed from top 10 very soon, but then again he is GSP so they will probably leave him there…

  • Bob

Who wants to see #4. Michael Bisping (4) fight #9. Rousimar Palhares (9)?

  • Anthony

Anyone know what happened to Nate Marquard? I figure either hes out because he hasnt fought in over a year, or hes under suspension for the high test ratio. I dont think he was under suspension though. Another good question, if Marquard was never suspended for his high test raio–they simply told him to get it back under the allowable level by the fight physical–when he didnt , they just wouldnt let him fight , he wasnt leveled any suspension im aware of. My question is why wouldnt they extend the same courtesy to Overeem? His test ratios were too high 6 weeks from the fight, so get the levels under control by your fight physical and your good to go–seems like if Marquard was extended that opportunity why cant they do the same for Alistar, instead of all this suspension crap everyone keeps singing????

    • shakejunt

pretty sure nate had issues in the past.
the difference here is that nate got released, overeem won’t be.

      • Anthony

But what does getting realeased from the UFC have to do with the governing bodies(athletic commision) punishment? The athletic commision oversees drug testing for all athletes within a givin state, and should thus dish out their own punishment seperate from what the UFC does–What do you guys think?–Am I wrong here

        • Lesnardo

Athletic commissions do dish out their own punishment. It’s called suspension buddy.

          • Anthony

Lesnardo , do they pay you to be an a$$ on this site or is all of your “expertise” free of charge?

  • Nate was on TRT and failed to get his testosterone level to near normal for the fight. Overeem is just a juicer.

    • Anthony

Whats to stop Overeem from finding a Dr to say hes on TRT (like Marquard)and thus the NAC would allow him to get his levels in check by the fight physical—with the UFC backing him because they stand to lose allot of revenue if this fight is cancelled. Im sure it wouldnt be too hard to find an on staff UFC Dr.(you see them checking fighters in the ring after the fight ends) that would say Overeen is under his care and using TRT. Problem solved–FIGHT ON

  • nate is fighting right now he just now got back with strikeforce it was released to press about 3 4 weeks ago! overeem tested for a high test to ep not a high test he is willing to give blood work!!!!! BLOOD WORK!!! that mean 0% chance of passing if anything illegal is there! because nothing is there when your a freakish monster your T to E levels will be naturally up to 20 times higher than a normal man this has been proven and my guess is overeems staff will show this is his “due process” as it was put out and everyone is hanging the guy out here is the facts he is the #1 hw in the world he will show it he is the best fighter to come to mma he is the clean and after he wins ppl will jump back on the wagon and the ones that don’t will cry after the ppv and go hug there jds doll in the bed and tell them there sorry that overeem beat his ass get over it i post this part again just in case the soft mod’s won’t clear my other speech this one is clean bozo’s
