Miguel Torres wanted to stay busy following his win at UFC 126 and it appears he’ll get his wish. The former WEC bantamweight champion is now set to face American Top Team fighter Brad Pickett at UFC 130 in May.

Torres announced that he was offered and accepted the fight via his personal Twitter account on Friday night. The bout was first reported by Heavy.com earlier in the day.

“Got offered a fight with Brad Pickett for UFC 130,” Torres wrote. “My answer was (expletive) yes, thank you, & your welcome.”

Victorious just last weekend, Torres picked up his first official UFC win over Antonio Banuelos by unanimous decision. It was his second win in a row.

Pickett makes his UFC debut coming off a win over veteran fighter Ivan Menjivar in his last ever fight for the WEC in December. The British born heavy hitter went 3-1 in the WEC including a win over Demetrious Johnson.

When he’s in the United States, Pickett trains full-time in Florida with American Top Team.

The bout between Torres and Pickett will be at UFC 130 on May 28 in Las Vegas. The show is headlined by UFC lightweight champion Frankie Edgar defending his belt against Gray Maynard.
