Miesha Tate suffered a broken orbital bone — in two places — early on in her fight with Sara McMann, but she battled back for the win. It could be enough to put her back in the thick of title talk, but Tate is brutally honest about where she stands in that regard depending upon who wins the upcoming fight between Ronda Rousey and Cat Zingano.

Please no. I like Tate. BUT, her striking is terrible and standup movement is predictable and old. She needs to spend time training with other boxing/kicking coaches. Her standup has not evolved in the past 4 years.. same exact skill. Not sure what she is working on, but it seems to be based on repetition and not actually learning anything new. She is sloppy and easily susceptible to right hands. She needs to be bring in better boxing coaches.

I think the term you are looking for is “punch like a girl”. Since men tend to be more upper body and women more lower body the women in MMA tend to punch from a much more square-on stance. It is all arm and shoulder and no real upper body power is involved.
Look at Rhonda Rousey and how side-on she is. She is actually learning to strike properly and it puts her in the correct position to do the judo throws that she does so well.

I would rather stick a thumb-tack in my peehole than watch Rousey vs. Tate 3.

Miesha, babe, it’s been over two years since you’ve finished someone. You can finish me, if you know what I mean 😉

Respect For Miesha, she’s tough as nails. Though I don’t see how they can sell a 3rd fight with Ronda.

Love Miesha, but she needs to quit hitting the other opponents in the fist and knee with her pretty face. She says her standup has improved, but I just don’t see it. She is still skilled enough to beat other, more talented, but less experienced fighters.

Tate has average skills and will never beat Rousey. Tate should fight bethe or even Cyborg or just do porn and make more money.
