A bantamweight bout has been added to UFC 139 which will see young phenom Michael McDonald return to action against Nova Uniao fighter Johnny Eduardo.
UFC officials announced the new match-up on Wednesday.
At just 20 years of age, Michael McDonald is already a 3-0 veteran of the WEC and the UFC. The young Californian has looked strong so far in his first two bouts in the Octagon, defeating both Edwin Figueroa and Chris Cariaso.
Fighting in San Jose, Calif., McDonald will be fighting close to his roots and facing a tough Brazilian with dangerous stand-up.
Johnny Eduardo debuted in the Octagon at UFC 134 in Brazil, but lost a unanimous decision to Raphael Assuncao on the card.
Now Eduardo tries to bounce back when he travels to the United States and faces a stern test in the young gun McDonald.
