Michael McDonald Gets Newcomer Alex Soto at UFC 139

Following an injury to original opponent Johnny Eduardo, rising bantamweight star Michael McDonald will now face UFC newcomer Alex Soto at UFC 139.

Sources close to the match-up confirmed the bout to MMAWeekly.com.

Alex Soto makes his UFC debut with a 6-0-1 record, having fought most frequently in “Ultimate Warrior Challenge” in Mexico.

The California based fighter most recently competed in Deep in Japan going to a draw with Seiji Akao back in June.

Soto moves over to the UFC on just over a week’s notice to try and become only the second fighter to hand McDonald a loss in his pro career.
