Michael Bisping Opens As Heavy Favorite Over Mayhem Miller for TUF 14 Finale

Posted on by MMAWeekly.com Staff

While the fight is still six months away, the first odds have been released for the middleweight fight between Michael Bisping and Jason ‘Mayhem’ Miller for the fight taking place at the ‘Ultimate Fighter’ season 14 finale.

According to MMA oddsmaker Nick Kalikas of BetonFighting.com, Bisping comes in as a heavy favorite in the match-up with -225 odds in his favor.

Miller, who will have been out of action for well past a year when the two middleweights meet, comes back as a +185 underdog in the bout.

“Jason Miller should be one of Michael Bisping’s toughest and most intriguing match ups to date. It’s no secret Miller is one of the most dangerous submission artists in the game today. He’s got a solid chin and always comes to fight. If this fight hits the floor Bisping could find himself in a tough spot,” Kalikas told MMAWeekly.com.

“With that being said, I still think it’s Bisping’s fight to lose. Bisping should be able to dictate where this fight takes place and pick apart Miller on the feet. The Odds indicate that this should be a fairly competitive fight, and I think that’s exactly what we’ll see.”

Bisping has won his last three fights in a row and four out of his last five. The Brit has been gunning for a top spot in the middleweight division and he may be able to take a big leap forward if he can beat the always charismatic Jason ‘Mayhem’ Miller.

For Miller it’s a return to the UFC after more than 5 years away from the promotion. The host of MTV’s ‘Bully Beatdown’ will try to make just as much of an impact in the fight as he assuredly will do as coach on the ‘Ultimate Fighter’.

The show began filming last week in Las Vegas and is expected to make the television debut on Spike TV late this summer.

    miller all the way

    Agreed, Mayham ftw !

  • samson

Yep. I don’t think you’ll find many people rooting for ol’ Bisping.

    • iowafightfan

This is true. Bisping claims he has done nothing to generate the amount of hate he gets from fans, but I think if he goes back and watched the antics he used against Jorge Rivera (and his cornermen), I think it will become quite clear why his fanbase is extremely small.

I don’t like Bisping at all, however, I do understand why he is the favorite. If I was betting money on the fight, I would probably bet on Bisping…..however, I will definitely be rooting for “Mayhem” to win the fight!!

Could not pick a better opponent for Miller to get the ball rolling. Miller is no Jorge Santiago, no disrespect but miller is a great attraction to the UFC and that arrogant Brit has got his fish and chip holders full!!! MAYHEM FTW!!!
