Mark Munoz signing UFC contractA few days ago, Mark Munoz was no longer under contract and subsequently removed from the UFC middleweight rankings.

Now, less than a week later, he is back in the fold.

Munoz on Thursday posted a photo of him putting pen to paper on a new contract to his various social media accounts.

“Just signed a 4-fight deal with @UFC,” he wrote on Instagram.

Munoz has lost his last two bouts – to Gegard Mousasi and Lyoto Machida – and is just 1-2 since returning to competition after a year on the sidelines. He broke his foot in a loss to Chris Weidman in July of 2012 and also suffered a bout of depression before returning to defeat Tim Boetsch last summer.

There has been no word yet on when Munoz next expects to fight in the Octagon.

Good, you would have been an upgrade to Bellator. I wish Bisping wasn’t fighting Cung.

I wonder if the the “experts” place Mark Munoz back in the Top 10…

I doubt the UFC will ever pay Munoz 6 figures, since they probably factored in his loss to Mousasi, unless he wins 2 bonuses on the same night.

I’m glad to see Munoz resign. Good luck Mark!
