Tonight MMAWeekly Radio welcomes Ultimate Fighting Championship vice president Marc Ratner and top middleweight contender Jason “The Athlete” MacDonald to the show starting at 9 p.m. EDT/6 p.m. PDT.

Ratner was executive director of the Nevada State Athletic Commission for many years. He has now transferred that expertise to his role within the UFC.

He also recently played the role of full-on athletic commission when the promotion traveled to England where mixed martial arts is not governed by an official sanctioning body.

Tune in to hear what Ratner has to say about drug testing in MMA, as well as sanctioning of events in various states and countries.

Also on the show tonight will be middleweight contender Jason MacDonald, who is set to face Yushin Okami at UFC 77 in Cincinnati, Ohio on Oct. 20.

MacDonald was victorious in his outing at UFC 72 where he defeated Rory Singer. His upcoming bout against Okami will likely determine a top contender in the 185-pound weight class.
