The media freight train surrounding UFC 157: Rousey vs. Carmouche has been singularly focused on UFC women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey; not Dan Henderson, not Lyoto Machida, and certainly not Rousey’s challenger Liz Carmouche.
And that’s fine by Carmouche because she can just go into the fight and be herself; she doesn’t have to hit a certain mark to fulfill everyone’s expectations.
“There is no pressure for me. Being the underdog, there is no expectations,” said Carmouche at the UFC 157 open workouts. “I just gotta go in there and do my game.”
