Bellator Fighting Championships held its fifth edition on Friday night at the Hara Arena in Dayton, Ohio.
A large portion of BFC’s plans includes tournament action. Friday night, the semi-final round of its lightweight tournament was held, determining who will fight for the tournament title.
Eddie Alvarez, ranked the No. 3 lightweight in the world, made his way into the final round. He used a rear naked choke early in the third round to defeat Eric Reynolds. Joining him in the finals is Toby Imada, who moved on by submitting highly touted Jorge Masvidal by triangle choke midway through round three.
