Following a skid where he won one out of five fights, Daniel Pineda was ousted from the UFC earlier this year. He bounced back in a big way on Friday night at Legacy FC 37 in Houston.
Pineda made quick work of fellow UFC veteran Leonard Garcia, submitting him via Kimura less than two minutes into the fight.
The loss was enough for Garcia to announce his retirement from mixed martial arts. He had been competing for the better part of the past 15 years, fighting more than 30 times, and spending the majority of his career fighting for the WEC or the UFC. He did not rule out continuing to fight in Legacy’s kickboxing division.
Thank you all for commenting this journey would’ve been a void with out all you great people out there!
