A couple surgeries aside, Krzysztof Soszynski plans to be ready to compete in June where he will face Australian Anthony Perosh in a light heavyweight bout at UFC 131.
The bout was confirmed to MMAWeekly.com by sources close to the match-up on Friday. MMAJunkie.com initially reported the fight.
Following his win over Goran Reljic last November, Soszynski had to undergo knee surgery to repair some pretty serious damage, but he’s ready to get back in the Octagon and compete again.
The Canadian has gone 5-2 overall in the UFC after his time during the 8th season of the “Ultimate Fighter”.
Moving away from his comfort zone in Australia, Anthony Perosh (11-6) will have no easy task when he steps into the cage with an experienced fighter like Soszynski.
Perosh made his UFC debut at the inaugural Australian show in 2010, losing to Mirko CroCop by TKO before bouncing back a year later and submitting British fighter Tom Blackledge at UFC 127.
The bout between Soszynski and Perosh will likely be on the preliminary card, although no formal announcement about the bout has been made yet.
