Some bad luck and an expierenced veteran gave Jason Black his first loss of his career. Black suffered a dislocated elbow in a scramble with Carter on the ground. Carter then seized the opportunity by jumping in and finished the fight just over a minute into the first round.

UFC veterans Jeff Curran, Gideon Ray, Laverne Clark and Terry Martin got impressive wins, while another UFC veteran Brian Gassaway lost a decision to Joey Clark.
