Villasenor Wins Again and Cote Gets Back on Track
King of the Cage: Anarchy in Canada Results.

With his 14th win in a row, King of the Cage middleweight champion Joey “The Dreamsmasher” Villasenor proved once again why he deserves a shot at the big time with his second round TKO victory over Kyacey Uscola in Canada on Saturday night.

Villasenor, who is widely seen as one of the top 185lb fighters in the world, defended his title against Uscola, who Villasenor’s coach Greg Jackson believes has a very bright future in MMA. It was Villasenor’s power and experience that again brought him a victory, in this his first fight after rehabbing a sore shoulder over the last few months.

Time will only tell how long it will be before Pride or the UFC realizes the talent possessed by the King of the Cage middleweight champion, and Villasenor is sure to continue to impress with him dominant victories.

Also in action in Canada was former UFC middleweight contender, Patrick “The Predator” Cote, who returned to action for the first time after back to back losses to Joe Doerkson and Chris Leben. His opponent was another former UFC fighter in Bill “The Butcher” Mahood, who lost in his only fight in the octagon when he was submitted by Forrest Griffin at UFC 53.

This was the second time these two had done battle, the first of which ended in a brutal knockout of Mahood from the heavy handed Cote. This time around, the fight made it into the second round but Cote was able to show his submission skills for the first time in a long while when he choked out Mahood.

Cote was in need of a win to start to regain his confidence after a tough string of fights in the UFC and with a couple more victories he may find himself back in the octagon again in the future.
