Muhammed “King Mo” Lawal is a fighter. That’s what he loves and that’s what he does.
He’s getting ready to head into a fight with Roger Gracie on the Sept. 10 Strikeforce fight card featuring the semifinal round of the Heavyweight Grand Prix.
Although he only has eight professional bouts to his credit, Lawal has actually been around mixed martial arts a lot longer than his experience belies. And truth be told, he’s one of the most knowledgable fighters in the sport, not only about the techniques and tactics, but also about the way the business of the sport works.
He recently sat down with MMAWeekly.com‘s Travis McPherson to discuss everything from his upcoming fight with Roger Gracie to Fedor vs. Hendo to the Strikeforce Heavyweight Grand Prix to who he wants to face beyond Gracie.
