Kerry Vera and Kim Couture are set to meet at the fifth installment of Strikeforce Challengers, penciled in for Nov. 20 at a location to be determined.
The bout was first reported by Sherdog.com. MMAWeekly subsequently confirmed that verbal agreements are in place and the fight will be finalized shortly.
Vera, the wife of UFC light heavyweight Brandon Vera, made her professional mixed martial arts debut in May at Bellator Fighting Championships, winning a unanimous decision over Leslie Smith.
Couture last fought in November 2008, railroading the inexperienced Lina Kvokov in under two minutes. Couture was scheduled to take on Meisha Tate at Shamrock vs. Diaz in April, but was forced to withdraw from the bout due to impending divorce proceedings with now ex-husband Randy Couture.
Meanwhile, Randy Couture and Brandon Vera are set to headline UFC 105 less than a week before their spouses take the cage.
Strikeforce has yet to officially announce the event.
