The next Strikeforce Challengers show has been scheduled for July 23 in Everett, WA with heavyweights Shane Del Rosario and Lolohea Mahe in the main event, while 135lb women’s champion Sarah Kaufman defends her belt against Roxanne Modafferi on the card as well.

Undefeated in his career, Shane Del Rosario returns to action in Washington to see if he can keep that perfect record in tact. His last win over Brandon Cash ended with an omoplata submission, and Del Rosario hopes to get back to action in much the same manner when he faces Lolohea Mahe in July.

Mahe returns to the Strikeforce cage for the first time since March when he was TKO’d by Lavar Johnson in the main event of a Challengers’ show in California. It was the first loss of his career, and Mahe will look to get back on track facing the undefeated Del Rosario on the card.

A women’s title fight will also be featured on the night’s card, although not as the main event, when 135lb champion Sarah Kaufman defends her unblemished record and title against Roxanne Modafferi.

Kaufman won the title by defeating Takayo Hashi in February and looks to make her first defense in July. The Canadian heavy-hitter is 11-0, and has faced some of the toughest competition in the women’s division to date.

One competitor she hasn’t faced yet is Roxanne Modafferi, who just recently defeated Tara LaRosa, who was widely considered as the top female fighter in the sport over the last few years. Training out of Japan, Modafferi is now fighting at a more natural weight than the last time she was in Strikeforce, and hopes to go home this time with a title belt around her waist.

Another heavyweight fight was also announced for the card as Abongo Humphrey meets UFC and King of the Cage veteran Mike Kyle as well.

The show will take place on July 23 at the Comcast Arena in Everett, WA and air on Showtime at 11pm ET/PT.
