K-1 and Pro Elite announced an ambitious plan for their first co-venture. On June 2nd, they will do their first event together at the 92,000-seat Los Angeles Coliseum. Fighters announced at this point include the legendary Royce Gracie, former pro football player Johnnie Morton, and a match-up between former pro wrestler Brock Lesnar and 7-foot-2 Hong Man Choi.
But that wasn’t all that K-1 and Pro Elite had in store. They also announced the collaboration of various independent MMA promoters from around the world. Obviously, this is an answer to the UFC/Pride juggernaut that was announced on Tuesday on Japan.
