This past Saturday night on Showtime, Joey Villasenor showed how he came to accrue a record of 23-5 in mixed martial arts. All cylinders firing, Joey’s performance against David “The Crow” Loiseau was dominating. Striking, takedowns, and submissions, Joey showed that he is well-versed at all aspects of the game going toe-to-toe with Loiseau, taking him down, and nearly submitting him with an armbar.

As a promoter, Sven Bean doesn’t get as much face time as the guys and girls we’re used to seeing in front of the camera (yes, I mean the fighters), but as the creator of the Ring of Fire promotion, he has been an integral part of mixed martial arts in Colorado. From helping to get the sport legalized in Colorado to building the premier mixed martial arts promotion in the entire region, Bean has been there.

This Friday night, Ring of Fire takes another step in the growing MMA market with a fight card featuring Duane “Bang” Ludwig in front of what will be the largest Ring of Fire crowd, if not Colorado MMA crowd, ever. Plus, Sven talks about his upcoming expansion of the promotion into Brazil and Europe.
