A welterweight match-up between Jason High and UFC newcomer Anthony Lapsley has been added to the UFC 167: St-Pierre vs. Hendricks fight card.
High (17-4) confirmed the bout via Twitter on Thursday.
High made his way to the UFC through the Strikeforce promotion. He was riding a seven-fight winning streak when he made his promotional debut against Erik Silva on June 8. Silva snapped the winning streak with a reverse arm triangle choke early in the opening round. High bounced back from the loss by submitting James Head on Aug. 28.
Lapsley (21-5, 2 no contests) will make his UFC debut against High. The Bellator veteran is on a two-fight winning streak, but hasn’t fought since October 2011.
UFC 167 takes place on Nov. 16 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas and his headlined by the welterweight title fight between champion Georges St-Pierre and top contender Johny Hendricks. Former UFC light heavyweight titleholder Rashad Evans faces Chael Sonnen in the card’s co-main event.
