Jamie Varner vs Melvin Guillard UFC 155The UFC on Fox 9 fight card is filling up fast and features many of the top names on the UFC roster.

The latest addition to the Dec. 14 event in Sacramento is a lightweight bout between former WEC champion Jamie Varner and Pat Healy.

Varner (21-8-1) is in the midst of his second tour of duty in the Octagon. He is currently 2-2 during this stint, and is coming off of a losing effort against Gleison Tibau at UFC 164.

Healy (31-16) also enters this fight coming off of a loss. After having an impressive submission victory over Jim Miller turned into a no contest decision following a failed drug test, Healy returned at UFC 165 only to drop a unanimous decision to undefeated Russian fighter Khabib Nurmagomedov.

UFC lightweight champion Anthony Pettis headlines the fight card, putting his belt on the line for the first time when he steps into the Octagon opposite former Strikeforce champion Josh Thomson.

nice match-up, either could be in danger with a loss, but i hope they keep both guys regardless of the outcome.

I like this match up. Could put the winner in to a #1 contender fight.

      0% chance of that

How? Healy’s coming from a NC and a loss.
Verner is just lost to Tibau, who is a gatekeeper.
I really don’t understand this fight.
I think this is a “go back to the top10” fight for Healy.
