A late change has been made to this weekend’s Titan Fighting 20 card as former WEC champion Jamie Varner will now face Dakota Cochrane in the night’s co-main event.
Varner broke the news via Twitter on Tuesday evening.
MMAWeekly.com had learned earlier in the day that Varner’s original opponent Alonzo Martinez was out of the fight due to legal troubles stemming from an arrest earlier this year.
Martinez was unable to maneuver around his legal issues, and so he was pulled from the Titan Fighting card as of this week.
Stepping in to replace him will be 9-1 prospect Dakota Cochrane. Fighting out of Nebraska, Cochrane has won his last five fights in a row, with his only career loss coming by way of submission to UFC lightweight T.J. O’Brien.
Varner and Cochrane will now square off in the Titan Fighting 20 co-main event airing live on HDNet Friday night.
