James Te Huna will return home to Australia for his next bout as he faces Aaron Rosa at UFC on FX 2 on March 3.

Sources close to the match-up confirmed the new bout to MMAWeekly.com on Thursday.

James Te Huna will look to move his UFC record to 3-1 when he goes home to Australia for his next bout. The Aussie has picked up impressive wins over Igor Pokrajac and Ricardo Romero thus far in his UFC career, with his only loss coming to rising light heavyweight star Alexander Gustafsson.

Looking to stop Te Huna from having a successful homecoming will be veteran fighter Aaron Rosa.

Rosa will be making his third appearance in the Octagon where he currently sits with a 1-1 record. After a heavyweight bout in his debut, Rosa dropped down to his more natural 205lbs and took out UFC newcomer Matt Lucas in Nov at UFC on Fox 1.

Now Rosa will try to go to the Land Down Under and beat their native son at UFC on FX 2 on March 3.

The bout between Rosa and Te Huna will likely be an undercard fight for the show, with those bouts currently slated to take place on Fuel TV.

He is actually from New Zealand but fights out of Sydney. James and Mark Hunt are the only Kiwi boys fighting in the UFC, need to represent our small island nation somehow!

  • Mikal

Yea they always say hes from Australia. Never heard no Aussie called Te Huna before

  • Well that’s totally my bad. Everywhere has him listed as Australian!
