Following a successful Octagon debut at UFC 140, Jake Hecht will return at UFC on FX 2 and face T.J. Waldburger in a welterweight match-up on the card.
Hecht announced the fight via his Twitter account, although the UFC has yet to officially confirm the bout.
Jake Hecht stepped into his first bout in the UFC on short notice, but made the most of the appearance as he stopped former ‘Ultimate Fighter’ competitor Rich Attonito in the second round.
Following a tough opening round, Hecht nailed Attonito with some stiff elbows as his opponent was attempting a takedown, and once he was rattled Hecht went in for the finish.
Facing Hecht in Australia will be three fight UFC veteran T.J. Waldburger, who will look to make it two wins in a row himself when he fights on the March card.
Most recently, Waldburger put away Mike Stumpf in quick fashion with a triangle choke at UFC Fight Night 25 in New Orleans.
The welterweights meet in an undercard fight on the UFC on FX 2 show airing live from Australia.
