He dropped down to the featherweight division for his UFC debut in August 2011. After losing for the first time since 2009 at UFC 147 to Hacran Dias, the 33-year old moved down to the bantamweight weight division. He picked up his first win at 135 pounds in May 2013 and then was matched up against former WEC featherweight champion Urijah Faber. He lost to Faber, but rebounded in his last outing on Feb. 15 defeating Wilson Reis by split decision.
