For weeks, WWE and TNA pro wrestler Kurt Angle has been talking about deals that he was working at different points to come to the UFC and fight for Dana White.

Now the UFC President has responded when speaking to where he answers the recent comments by Angle.

White confirms that Angle was indeed calling and trying to get into the UFC, so he offered him a slot on the 10th season of The Ultimate Fighter alongside names like Kimbo Slice and Roy Nelson.

Ultimately, it didn’t work out, and White goes on to shoot down a couple of Angle’s claims, while still maintaining that he is a good guy and someone the UFC president likes and respects.

Check out Dana White talking Kurt Angle, TUF 10 and the UFC:

Worst headline I’ve ever read in my entire life.

What do you expect, it’s MMAWEEKLY. This is not even a headliner. TUF 10 occurred two years ago. And no one cares to see Kurt Angle, especially when MMA already has Brock and Lashley.

I think 10 years ago, Kurt would have been a decent fighter, although not champion material.

Had Kurt joined the UFC 5 years ago, he would have beaten Paul Buentello, Gan McGee and other bozos but would have ran into trouble against AA or Sylvia. Had he joined Pride, well…I see him getting armbarred by Fedor.

If he joined the UFC now, I don’t think he could get passed Cheick Kongo, even though Kongo is stylitically the best match-up for him.

I think if Kurt had joined 10 years ago he could have been a champion. Back in those days nobody had any cardio or TD defense. On the other hand, he might have been exactly like Mark Coleman.
