MMAWeekly’s Scott Petersen reports from Japan that Hero’s KO’d the competition on television this past week. The show pull a 22.1 on television which is a monster number. The fight between Kid Yamamoto and Royler Gracie did a 22.1 number. (It should be mentioned that Caol Uno vs Takoro was part of that number as well)
To give you an idea how big of a number that truly is for Japanese television, Pride’s Middleweight Grand Prix that was just held, only did a 13.1. Hero’s show was almost 10 points higher which has to be troubling to DSE.
One other item from the fights this weekend, it appears Genki Sudo’s knee injury is not getting better. Sudo had plenty of pain in his first fight against Miyata this past weekend and wondered if he could even compete this past week. He did and now hopes his knee can recover before his fight in the final with Kid Yamamoto.
