The heavyweight match-up adds to the developing fight card, which takes place on Jan. 25 at the United Center in Chicago.
Miocic (10-1) is coming off a unanimous-decision win over Roy Nelson at UFC 161 last June. The only loss in the fighter’s 11-fight career came against Stefan Struve in September 2012. He is 4-1 in the Octagon.
Gonzaga (16-7) is a winner of two consecutive wins in the UFC, both by knockout. In his last outing, Gonzaga dropped Shawn Jordan in the first round of their UFC 166 fight. Since coming back to the organization in early 2012, Gonzaga has groomed a 4-1 record.
UFC on Fox 10 will be headlined by a lightweight title fight between Benson Henderson and Josh Thomson.
