Top UFC lightweight contender Gilbert Melendez was narrowly defeated in his first attempt at UFC gold when he faced then-champion Benson Henderson in his UFC debut in April 2013.  The 32-year-old gets a second chance to become a UFC champion at UFC 181: Hendricks vs. Lawler II when he takes on champion Anthony Pettis the the co-mainv event.

    Gil’s wrestling could be a key factor here. Considering I thought he beat Benson and should have been the champ, I think he takes Pettis in this. Gil takes the belt.
