After a dominating win over Clay Guida, Benson Henderson locked up the No. 1 contender spot and a shot at champion Frankie Edgar at UFC 144. Henderson landed 87 strikes and three takedowns to take home the lightweight title and a Fight of the Night bonus.

Henderson takes on Russian star Rustam Khabilov in the UFC Fight Night 42 main event on June 7 in Albuquerque.

    Robbery! Like most of Bendo’s fights. In my eyes, he lost to Frankie twice, then beat Diaz before losing 3 in a row to Melendez, Pettis and Thomson. The judges just seem to love him.

      Bendo easily won the first, the rematch was definitely closer.

      I actually thought Melendez would win, but Bendo outpointed Melendez b/c he was way more active. Melendez didn’t throw enough.

      Thomson fight was also close, but Bendo definitely outpointed him as well.

      People hate on Bendo b/c he hasn’t had many finishes in UFC, but the fact of the matter is, he fought the toughest guys to finish and always goes all out and at least fights for the finish.

      He’s also a nice guy and a Christian ,which also makes him an easy target.
