FAIRFIELD, Ohio — It isn’t easy being the brother of a famous fighter… especially if you’re trying to start a fight career of your own.
Greg Franklin, the brother of UFC middleweight champion Rich Franklin, will end his amateur mixed martial arts career Saturday night at Metropolis Nightclub in the main event of ICE 16.
The event begins at 8:30 p.m. and doors open at 7:30 p.m. Tickets start at $25 in advance and are available at the door or by calling Kerry Schall (513) 290-3259 or SACAN Martial Arts (513) 759-4488.
Franklin (5-1) will face Terry Davinney (2-1) of Detroit in the final of 15 bouts. Franklin is coming off of a 5-second knockout win in his last ICE appearance, while Davinney captured a 4-man 205-pound tourney title at ICE 16.
