A victorious Frank Mir at UFC 81

Former UFC heavyweight champion Frank Mir is going to get another crack at the title when he replaces Alistair Overeem at UFC 146 on May 26 in Las Vegas. He will challenger current champion Junior dos Santos in the main event of an all-heavyweight main card.

Mir is currently riding a three-fight winning streak, defeating the likes of Mirko “Cro Cop” Filipovic, Roy Nelson, and Antonio Rodrigo Nogeuira, making him the obvious choice to step in when Overeem was removed due to his recent issues regarding a drug test in Nevada.

Mir recently join Todd Harris on UFC Tonight to talk about stepping in to face dos Santos at UFC 146 and also what he thinks about Overeem’s situation and whether or not the former Dream and Strikeforce champion should get a second chance.

    Damn…Mir is a fighter.

Unfortunately, JDS is by far the strongest fighter Mir has faced. In fact he is stronger than those fighters that have beaten Mir.

If he looses I cant wait to see him get cut from the UFC……he has been running on luck lately… his interviews are always so arrogant and too over confident….and then he gets knocked out and all the crap he talks gets sucked back right up his rear end just as fast as he lets it out of his mouth..
