MMAWeekly.com sources on Tuesday confirmed the bout.
Rivera (9-2) is fresh off of a second-round TKO stoppage of Edwin Figueroa at UFC 156 on Super Bowl weekend. Recently signing a new four-fight contract with the organization, Rivera is 4-1 since making the move to the UFC, and dropping down to the bantamweight division.
He has one no contest during his UFC tenure. Rivera knocked out Roland Delorme, but the result was changed when Rivera tested positive for an over-the-counter stimulant.
The no contest ended a three-fight winning streak for Rivera, but he picked right back up with the win over Figueroa in his most recent bout.
Viana is undefeated in his seven-fight professional career. He made his way to the Octagon via the inaugural season of The Ultimate Fighter: Brazil, where he made it to the semi-final round before being eliminated from the competition.
Viana has two official appearances in the UFC, winning a split decision victory over John Teixeira at UFC 147, the unofficial TUF Brazil Finale, and following that with a first-round knockout of Reuben Duran at the TUF 16 Finale last December.
(Updated on March 6, 2013: The bout was mistakenly first reported for the UFC on FX 8 fight card.)
